How are mice phenotyped?

Mice are characterised across a dozen research centres following a standardized phenotyping pipeline.

Procedures are described in IMPReSS, the International Mouse Phenotyping Resource of Standardised Screens, where both experimental protocols and parameters that need to be recorded are specified.

Mouse experiments are conducted in accordance with the regulations of the different member centres and animal welfare guidelines.
