Data analysis

All data collected by the IMPC passes strict quality control filters implemented by dedicated individuals in the team. This data is then statistically analysed to identify significant phenotypes associated with the knocked out mouse line. Significant phenotypes are annotated to Mammalian Phenotype Ontology terms, as dictated by IMPReSS, where an inequivocal relationship is established between the data collected and the potential phenotype term the data can be annotated to. Then, data integration methods are employed to assess the translational relevance of each mutant line toward human biology.
